Gold Coast Amateur Radio Association will engage in Winter Field Day again this winter at Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach, January 27/28.

We urge all club members and any interested non-members alike to come out and help us enjoy this annual event, which is one of the two largest and most popular annual activities in Ham Radio.

Something new this year is a provision for reserving operating time on the SSB station. This will ensure that you will be able to get on the air at a specific time, and you may reserve your time prior to the event on our website.

Click here for the SSB registration form to reserve an operating time on the SSB station.

We are not accepting registrations anymore. If you registered already and have questions, please contact the board by clicking here. If you have not registered yet, don’t worry, just show up and have fun.

Whether you are interested in providing or setting up equipment, operating on the air, learning more about various modes of operation (we expect to be operating multiple modes and bands), or in simply enjoying the company of other hams, we urge you to come out and join us.

Food and drinks will be available, and those hardy souls who can stay overnight will be welcome. Accommodations will include your own vehicles/tents/bedding. Also, there is sufficient space within the pavilion for cots, sleeping bags, etc.

Operating plans are still being devised. However, we expect to set up, as before, with three HF stations (SSB, CW, and Digital), and also hope to cover VHF/UHF and possibly satellite communication.

Our main focus is on fun for all. Please do put this on your calendar and plan to be with us.
